George H. Wimberg, Jr., Funeral Director

George H. Wimberg, Jr., NJ Lic. No. 2556 is the president of the firm. A lifetime resident of Ventnor, he has been very active throughout the community in numerous capacities over the years including the Lions Club and a fourth degree Knights of Columbus member.  He is a graduate of Holy Spirit High School and Villanova University.  George coordinates a number of the programs for the Ventnor Historical Society, is active in Holy Trinity Parish -Saint James Church and can be seen jogging on the boardwalk or surfing early many mornings. George is working with the Independent Seaport Museum at Penns Landing to restore the “MisLeading Lady”, a 1928 Ventnor Runabout made by the Ventnor Boat Works.

George H. Wimberg, III, Funeral Director

George H. Wimberg, III , NJ Lic. No. 3778 is the manager of the Ventnor and Linwood facilities. Raised in Ventnor and is a graduate of Atlantic City High School and Mercer County Community College. He now resides in Northfield with his wife Christy and four children and is a member of St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish – St. Bernadette Church and Knights of Columbus Council 6277.  He is Treasurer of the Ventnor Historical Society.

Harold A. Appleget, Funeral Director

Harold F. Appleget, “Hap”, NJ Lic. No. 2594  brings over 40 years experience to the funeral business having grown up in a family business with his father and brother at the Appleget Funeral Home in Pleasantville.  He was associated with several area full established funeral homes before joining the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home in 1999.  He is a member of St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish – St. Bernadette Church and was very active in area sports over the years.
